PEACE OF MIND

Somebody is praying constantly for peace of mind. Somebody is asking God when He’s going to send them peace but whenever it gets *too quiet* and whenever their phone finally stops ringing and vibrating with calls, texts, and notifications, they pick it up and start searching. Because their bed feels cold, they go on a quest to find a *body* ANYbody…

Their soul is restless; so used to madness-so used to panic mode to the point where they’re unable to recognize a moment of peace when it’s right in front of them. They’re asking God to please give them peace but God is saying, “My child, I’ve already given you peace but you keep rejecting it for familiar chaos.”

Make sure you’re not complaining about chaos,  but at the same time, are flocking to it. Maybe it’s time for you to fully surrender to God and allow Him to check your heart. One of my favorite scriptures is found in Psalm 139:23-24…Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

God specializes in fixing both broken people and situations. He’s the best heart surgeon I know. Psalm 51:10 says: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.

He will do it. Philippians 4:7 assures us…And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 

Once you fully submit to God and to His will, you’ll hate to be around chaos and it’ll feel like you’re allergic to all the drama you used to flock to. You’ll flee from unhealthy, boundaryless relationships that suck the life out of you and leave you with no energy to fulfill your purpose. You won’t entertain foolishness nor will you sow discord among others.

On this beautiful Sunday, as you prepare to go into a new week that you’re hoping and praying will be a better week, make sure you’re not providing people with the straw to suck the life out of you, and make sure you’re not praying for something that you’ve already received. 🩷
